Congratulations to Jordan Kaiser for earning a seat in the 2026 South Dakota High School All State Band! She is seated 8th chair horn in the Lewis Band. ASB will take place March 26-28 in Rapid City.
We would also like to congratulate and acknowledge all our students who prepared auditions this year: Wyatt (tenor sax), Ben (trumpet), Alex (tuba), and Zoey (percussion). Preparing an All State Band audition takes time, dedication, and discipline. All of our students have grown musically and benefited from the audition process. 🎶

Congratulations to Brynn Huber for being selected to the 2026 Middle School All-State Jazz Band Jan. 31 in Mitchell!

Congratulations to Jordan and Wyatt on a fantastic concert in the 34th annual North Area Honor Band!

🎭This afternoon at the State Oral Interpretation Festival in Watertown, Ava performed her Humorous piece and earned a Superior, which meant she got to take that special walk across the stage. Only the highest-scoring performers receive this recognition, and achieving it as a freshman in a solo piece is truly remarkable. Congratulations, Ava! 🏅

The Safe Harbor tree is up and already has some great items under it. We will take donations until December 19th at 12:30pm. Thank you to all who donates to this great cause! 🎄🎁

Good luck to Ava G. as she performs at the State Oral Interpretation Competition this weekend! She will compete in the Humorous division Friday afternoon.
Ava H. is attending as an alternate in the Non-Original Oratory category.
Good luck to the Avas and Coach Griese, we are proud of you!

WOW!
The elementary really blew this dress up day out of the park. Today was "Shine Bright & Color the World!"
Each class was assigned a color so we could create a rainbow!
🌈

🎭The HHS Oral Interp team competed today at the Region competition to determine who will advance to the State Oral Interp Festival in Watertown on December 5–6. Our region is filled with outstanding talent, and only a select few from each division earn a spot at State. 🎭
🎉We are thrilled to share that Ava Griese has qualified for State in Humorous, and Ava Hartung earned Region Alternate in Non-Original Oratory! 🎉
Every one of our performers delivered their strongest performance of the season and represented our school and community with excellence. We couldn’t be prouder!💜🩶

The Hoven National History Day students are selling chocolate advent calendars again this year! They are $6.00 a piece. This money will help offset travel expenses for the state and National contests. If you are interested you can contact the main office, Mr. Hobert, or one of the students.

The HHS Student Council will once again be collecting items for the Safe Harbor in Aberdeen. Donations can be dropped off starting on November 24th and ending on December 18th. The tree to place any items under will be by the main entrance.

American Education Week is right around the corner and we are SOOOO excited to celebrate with our "pawsome" students and staff next week! 🐾
Please take a look at the dress up days listed as well as a note being sent home regarding each class color!
Also be sure to look at the other poster for yet another year of celebrating special ladies and gentlemen in the students' lives with our Muffins for Moms and Pastries for Pops on Tuesday and Thursday next week!
Let's make it a great week (next week) of celebrating our greyhound pride and education!!!

Join us to honor our Veterans on Tuesday, November 11th. 💗🤍💙
