🐮 Beef to School 🏫 This particular beef was all processed into ¼-pound patties to be used for burgers right here at our school. We are incredibly thankful for Luke and Ashlee Kaiser for coordinating all the details — from drop-off, to pick-up, to delivering it straight to the school freezers. And right after that, Luke volunteered additional time helping our basketball athletes in the gym. The Greyhound Beef Program is now looking for its 6th donated beef. We anticipate needing it around August or September, but we are happy to coordinate whenever your beef is ready. We assist with all arrangements to make the process as simple as possible. Since launching in March 2024, this program has successfully provided homegrown beef for our students and staff. We are proud to showcase the hard work of our local farmers and bring that directly to our school tables — connecting agriculture, education, and community in the best way possible. In addition to the beef donation, we are also seeking a group (or multiple individuals/groups) willing to sponsor the next processing fee. If you’ve ever thought about giving back in a way that feeds our kids home grown meat AND demonstrates pride in both education and agriculture — this is your opportunity. It is a week celebrated every year aiming to motivate children to read, build a sense of community among young readers, encourage and support a love of reading, and more. 💙💛 The Hoven Chapter of the National Honor Society is excited to host our 3rd Annual Pop Tab Challenge in support of the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, MN. Support your favorite students while helping make a meaningful difference. Bring your saved aluminum pull tabs to Hoven School or send them with any Hoven student to contribute to their class total. The Elementary and 7–12 competitions will run through March 31, and every single tab counts! Your donations help provide a “home away from home” for families seeking medical care for their loved ones. Let’s come together to support a cause that is near and dear to our hearts. 💜🩶

🍪 Cookie Dough Fundraiser Kicks Off Today! 🍪
Our schoolwide PTA cookie dough fundraiser packets are going home today, and we’re excited to get started!

Why we’re fundraising:
✨ A new and improved playground swing set
✨ Help fund the return of the Hoven Prom
Important details for families:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This is a family-based fundraiser. One packet is sent home with the oldest sibling.
📝 The registration name is located on the bottom left of the packet. Please focus on the LAST NAME when registering (examples: JD Smith or Smith).
🏫 The teacher/leader name is listed on the bottom middle of the packet — selecting the correct name helps streamline order sorting and delivery.
💻 There is an online ordering option for friends and family who live out of town.
📦 Cookie dough orders will be delivered BEFORE Easter.

🎶Small Group Contest Open House🎶 Join us this Monday, February 9th in the music room, for our Small Group Contest Open House. This is a great opportunity to hear the students perform before they head to contest on Feb. 18th. All are welcome to attend and support our music students. We appreciate your continued encouragement of their hard work and dedication!

Congratulations to Jordan Kaiser for earning a seat in the 2026 South Dakota High School All State Band! She is seated 8th chair horn in the Lewis Band. ASB will take place March 26-28 in Rapid City. We would also like to congratulate and acknowledge all our students who prepared auditions this year: Wyatt (tenor sax), Ben (trumpet), Alex (tuba), and Zoey (percussion). Preparing an All State Band audition takes time, dedication, and discipline. All of our students have grown musically and benefited from the audition process. 🎶
