Today, we celebrated the outstanding achievements of our National Honor Society students, who epitomize the highest standards of academic excellence, leadership, and community engagement at Hoven High School. These students embody the fundamental principles of our organization, exemplifying scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
We warmly welcome Jonah Pribyl as the newest member of our chapter, inducted during the Candle Lighting Ceremony. Congratulations, Jonah, on this well-deserved honor!

2nd grade computer class outside! With a break from the rain we took the opportunity to go outside and soak in the sun and had a couple visitors while doing it!

The track meet in Miller scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 30th has been canceled.

As it is snowing out I hate to inform you but with the continued moisture through this morning, there is no way we can get our track dry enough nor the rest of the facility to make it happen today. I am sorry on Friday when we decided to move it to Monday this was NOT in the forecast. This will not be rescheduled.

The Spring Concert and Academic Awards Night will be held tonight at 7:30 pm in the gym! So dust off your boots and come help us kick off our "Gone Country Concert" for our 7th-12th graders.


The track meet that was supposed to be in Gettysburg tomorrow April, 27th has been moved to Monday, April 29th due to weather: we will NOT be going to Eureka on Tuesday, April 30th.

The Golf meet in Ipswich for tomorrow Friday, April 26th has been cancelled due to incoming weather.

Please join us on Monday, April 29 at 7pm for the 2024 Hoven FFA Awards Night and ice cream social!
We will recognize achievements, award Discovery, Greenhand, and Chapter Degrees, and elect new chapter officers!

WAY TO WORK HOVEN ELEMENTARY!
Our initial fundraising goal, was $10,000.
You all knocked it out of the park and we raised a grand total of $15,715!!!! Of that amount, the PTA will receive roughly $6,286! You all did such incredible work making this happen.
Our fundraising rep will be getting back to us with results for our top salesmen and list of students who met both tiers for the tshirts and the sweatshirts.
Stay tuned for those results!!
We will be discussing things further at the meeting this Tuesday, April 23rd. We would love to see parents attend to discuss our successes with this fundraiser, teacher appreciation week, and more!

This crew did a phenomenal job representing their school and chapter this week at the South Dakota FFA State Convention in Brookings.
Madison Hoerner received her state degree!

Ag Mechanics: 11th place team
⁃ Lane Stuwe: 23rd place individual
It was a great year of growth and we are looking forward to next year!

The track meet in Ipswich for this Saturday, April 20th has been cancelled due to weather.

The MS track meet that was supposed to be held this Friday in Eureka has been moved to May 13th.

Football meeting tomorrow in Gettysburg after Large Group gets back, leaving Hoven at 3:30 for 9th-12th graders taking Football next year. Bring your tickets and money to the meeting and if going to the team camp you will register at the meeting.
